During her earlier years in Southern California, Dominique Piana performed regularly at some prestigious venues such as the Jonathan Club in downtown Los Angeles, Industry Hills, the Queen Mary in Long Beach, the Anaheim Marriott Hotel next to Disneyland and the Ritz Carlton near Palm Springs. She has played for events honoring the Crown Prince of Belgium, President Ford and French actress Catherine Deneuve.

Locally in the Tri-Valley, Dominique has provided harp music at Ruby Hills, the Palm Event Center and Casa Real, as well as Wente Winery. She has also performed several times for Hope Hospice in Dublin, The Poetry, Prose and Arts Festival in Pleasanton and The Mechanics Institute in San Francisco. She participates in the yearly Nutcracker, presented by Valley Dance Theater in Livermore and freelances with orchestras and other ensembles around the Bay.

Dominique has been featured every season by the Contra Costa Performing Arts Society in recital and has undertaken a series of local library concerts since 2007. She also provided meditation music for the Sunday Mass and special celebrations at San Francis of Assisi in the North Beach neighborhood of San Francisco.

Dominique has involved herself in the local performing arts scene by founding the Pleasanton Chamber Players, a flexible group of professional musicians living in the area, to make music for the community. Additionally, she curates the classical concert series at the new Firehouse Arts Center in Pleasanton. She presently serves as vice-president of the Bay Area Chapter of the American Harp Society, in charge of organizing harp recitals for visiting artists.
